Currently v2.0 and v2.1 have no data backup ability. This function is in design, we plan to release it in v2.2.

is it possible to recover the milvus lost state pvc?
i have backup pvc.

Yes you can.
Suppose you've installed a milvus cluster, create collections, insert data, create index, make some search, and you can uninstall the cluster while keeping the pvc. This can save some computation resources.

Then when you need milvus cluster again, you can reinstall the milvus cluster with the same name which can use the remained pvc.
