Getting Started

Add pub dependencies on the command line. For easy state management, add provider:

$ flutter pub add provider

For self-driving testing of Flutter code on devices and emulators, add integration_test:

$ flutter pub add --dev --sdk=flutter integration_test

For an advanced API to test Flutter applications that run on real devices and emulators, add flutter_driver:

$ flutter pub add --dev --sdk=flutter flutter_driver

For general test tooling, add test:

$ flutter pub add --dev test

For handling app navigation, add go_router:

$ flutter pub add go_router

Unit testing the provider

An example of ChangeNotifier model class - favorites.dart:

Create a directory called integration_test in the project's root directory, and in that directory create a new file named app_test.dart:

Add perf_test.dart into integration_test directory too:

Create a folder named test_driver with a file named perf_driver.dart to capture the performance results:
