Description/Context

Finish the cutover to new xqwatcher instances all the way through Production.

Plan/Design

Environment Split Up

  • Need to refactor code separate out the courses a bit due to cost allocation concerns as well a noisy neighbor concerns.
    • Move them into the respective VPCs and out of operations
    • Need to split up the environment conf.d configs in vault and come up with a way to reference them.
    • Move edx.org grader to the mitxonline environment.

Non Production

  • Confirm acceptance testing passed residential team
  • Terminate stopped ec2 instances
  • Retire / disable salt minions

Production

  • Deploy production instances - Cordinate with redwood release(s)
  • Validate production instances
  • Retire / disable salt minions
  • Stop / terminate production ec2 instances
