Waveform along with viny control looks waggly #5692
Comments
Commented by: rryan Is this still an issue now that we've merged Owen's latest and greatest to trunk? Assigning to Owen. |
Commented by: ywwg Not sure what is meant by "wobbly" or "waggly". Does this refer to the waveform stretching behavior as pitch changes? |
Commented by: rryan This is 1.9 so probably not related to the stretching. Could slight variations in rate cause the waveform to be waggly? I think this might be fixed in trunk since Owen's waveform stretching is kind of like a low-pass filter on the rate. |
Commented by: rryan Tobias -- is this fixed in 1.10 / trunk? If so we'll mark it wontfix for 1.9.x. |
Commented by: raffitea Yeah, haven't seen that issue. It might have been a QT bug with 4.6.x |

Tested with lp:mixxx/1.9 r2612 on Win XP 32 Bit, 1.67 GHz, 2 GB RAM,
Audio 4 DJ (ASIO at 5ms latency)
I've compiled Mixxx from source with QT 4.7.1.
The waveform looks good if using MIDI or keyboard control. Switching over to vinyl control (Serato vinyls), the waveform gets wobbly or waggly especially when two tracks are loaded and you try to beat match.
