Emulate different kind of mixers sound #6519

Commented by: gbonaert In my personal mixer emulation request, i have the Vestax and Ecler sound mixers which i really love. |
Commented by: esbrandt Something very similar was requested before, is this bug report a duplicate? |
Commented by: gbonaert Hello, EQ and mixer behaviour are two different things. The summing of a mixer has nothing to do with the EQ. So, to have a complete behaviour you need at least the two but not only the eq. Gontran.

Commented by: pwhelan We have to start somewhere. Starting with an easy to use menu for setting the EQ parameters to emulate other mixers is a good place to start. |
Commented by: ywwg Unless someone can come up with even a theoretical basis for what makes one mixer sound different from another, I'm really tempted to shut this bug down. If you want Mixxx to sound like your favorite mixer, use the deck outputs and route them through that mixer. |
Commented by: daschuer We have now a good set of EQs that allows to adjust the sound a bit. |

Since every mixer has his own typical sound i was thinking why could it no be implemented in a DJ software.
this is certainly the most crazy ans top feature being possible in a DJ software.
you are used to mix with Rodec (Pioneer or any other branch) since 10 years then you plug out the mixer and plugin a good soundcard with a Midi controller and you're able to reproduce very close behavior, that sounds as a dream.
What do you think about it ?
