Hi,

I am using Mixxx 1.11.0. What I noticed is, when I add a few songs to auto-dj queue (top), the first song is queued on both deck 1 and deck 2. I am using the PPA version on Ubuntu 13.04, and my CPU is Intel Core i5-2400S. I am also attaching a screenshot. the step to reproduce is to add a few songs to auto-dj queue.

Hi Muzaffer,

Thank you for the bug report.

I cannot reproduce this bug. Can you please give a step by step description how to reproduce it?

What was the Mixxx state just before you enable auto DJ?

Thank you,

Daniel

Oh, and also the step was simple. Just start Mixxx and add a few songs.

Regards,

M.

Do you use a midi controller?
How do you enable the auto DJ?
Was the auto DJ empty, when Mixxx appears?
Does this happpen at any time or only after Mixxx restart?
Does it also happen when you add the tracks at the bottom of auto DJ?

I don't use a midi controller (at least not that I know of). I enable the
auto-dj by clicking on the enable auto-dj button. The auto-dj was empty. I
haven't really tried the last two. I'll try and let you know tomorrow.

Hi Daniel,

Sorry for delay.

I've tried the last two. It happens every time I add songs and regardless of bottom or top or auto-dj.

Sorry, can not reproduce.

Can you reproduce the issue every time you start AutoDJ?
Or does it happens only the first time after starting Mixxx?

You may check a development version:
http://builds.mixxx.org/builds/trunk/

but backup your ~/.mixxx folder before.

I was at last able to reproduce.

It happens when there already is a song on deck #2.

Hi Muzaffer,

Have tried to reproduce it here but i still see no issue

Here is what I have done:
* Removed all tracks Tracks from AutoDJ
* Restart Mixxx 1.12-0-alpha-pre (build master r3499+)
* Load three tracks to AutoDJ (ta tb tc); Mark 3 tracks right click "Auto DJ Top"
* Auto DJ playlist looks like that
mixxxdj/mixxx#4910 ta
mixxxdj/mixxx#4911 tb
mixxxdj/mixxx#4912 tc
* Load an other track to Deck 2 (td)
* Press enable Auto DJ
Now:
- ta is plaing in Deck 1
- td is replaced by tb in Deck 2
- tb is moved to mixxxdj/mixxx#4910
-> result: no issue

What is different in your test case?

Hi Daniel,

Here is what I did:

  • Auto-DJ stopped playing and now there is only one song on deck 2.
  • Selected a few songs from the library and added them to auto-dj (top)
  • Went on to auto-dj and clicked "enable auto-dj"
  • Now the same song is on both deck 1 and deck 2.

I'm attaching a file that contains 2 screenshots.

I also can't seem to reproduce this on 1.11 or on the current master.

Its odd that in your latest "before" screenshot the left deck still looks like it has a track loaded (warning indicator is active, BPM is still non-0).

Oh, it happens for me -- just infrequently. This looks like a race condition between loading the track and removing it from the queue.

Ok -- I think I fixed it.
