Commented by: daschuer Hi Matthaus, please provide as much details as possible. This way we might narrow the problem. Is only the /home/matthaus/Documents/Mixing Traxx 1/ effected or other folders as well. Kind regards, Daniel |
Commented by: matthsbeschtzer According to the user manual it requires approx 1 GB of ram, but when I try to run it, it will start fine for a minute or two, but then as it idles it starts eating up more ram for no reason. One time it was using 5 GB of ram thats when my system froze, and after about two minutes it crashed and my system returned to normal. Also it does not only effect/home/matthaus/Documents/Mixing Traxx 1 it effects others as well, the folder contains music

Commented by: daschuer Hi Matthaus, do you have any idea what must happen to start the RAM eating? Does it start of you disable all waveforms in preferences? Maybe it is Bug #1016460 Kind regards Daniel |
Commented by: matthsbeschtzer Yes all I have to do is start it. I do not have a controller attached and it does start if i disable all waveforms. |
Commented by: daschuer I cannot reproduce the issue. And the memory footprint stays constantly at 76.5 MiB since one hour. Please verify that the you select a "empty" Waveform from preferences and both spinnies are off . Please try to start with a fresh database. This cane be don by rename the hidden folder ~/.mixxx. Mixxx will create a new one when started. |
Commented by: matthsbeschtzer renaming ~/.mixxx. solved the problem.

Commented by: daschuer OK you individual problem is solved. I will keep this bug open, because the underlying issue is still valid: This might be a concurrency problem of the db using threads. |
Commented by: rryan Marking Incomplete since we don't know how to reproduce |
