One feature I would really like is for Mixxx to be able to control light shows along with the music. The way I would propose that this is done is by using a hotcue-like bar on the song either by typing in the time, or by placing a bar on the waveform of the song. Once the bar or the time is set, a custom command would be input. That command would then be executed when the song reaches that point. Custom exported variables that could influence the command should probably be used, such as current volume, bpm, or crossfader position.

Is controller Midi for light not doing like this? Ones is needed. I am waiting now 2 years for a feature: Reading out Songname and other mp3 tags in JS to change the light show. Then you can make the lightshow in the lightprogram in correct way.
This isn't really the purpose of Mixxx, it's DJ software not a light controller. It may be possible (there are discussions on getting it implemented in Traktor) using Midi Out to control lighting on some boards, but I don't see that many people would make use of it.
