For users who want to record or broadcast using an external mixer, it would be convenient to have a new input option in Mixxx's Sound Hardware preferences labeled "Record/Broadcast". If a sound card input is selected for this, Mixxx's recording and broadcast signals would be replaced by the input from the sound card. I believe something similar could be accomplished currently by using the unmixed Deck outputs, turning the faders all the way down in software, and using an auxiliary input, but that's not very easily discoverable.
