Disabling the waveform overview slows Mixxx down to a crawl

Upon disabling the top waveform overview in the Tango skin (haven't tried other skins yet), the whole interface starts to lag, updating only once a second. Mouse clicks wait until next refresh before being taken into account. As far as my personal testing goes, MIDI Controller Input is still responsive, while output slows down as much as the GUI.
