Google Analytics not recording many interactions

The analytics code seems not be getting updates when the URL changes; almost all traffic is to "/everything". I've successfully gotten it to record page views when I've reloaded a page with a longer path, but even then, not every time.

It would be great to have this resolved by launch so we can see what's being used.

Do we have a document describing what we want in analytics or how we want it to appear?

It's old, but we put together this for the alpha as planning for the library analytics project:

For Google Analytics for now, a minimum of page URLs. I suspect there are events that we would want to track, but those are not specified.

I implemented pageview tracking. @varnum, give it a try and if all seems okay this can be closed.
