  • While working on another PR that is bumping requirements I tackled pip's backtracking issues and bumping pip solved it, separated the PRs cause the other PR is changing a lot of code (new version of Black, our formatter)
  • Back in [Requirements] Bump pip to 21.2.x and python to 3.7.11 #1418 I picked Python 3.7.11 (and not 3.7.12, the latest) cause conda didn't have a package for it, not it has, so bumping it as well wanted to do that, tackled problem with scipy and orjson in the ml-base image, reverted for now
  • Made the pip version configurable so bumps should include less line changes from now on
