I'd suggest starting a Doodle poll, it makes it easier to coordinate.

Hi all,

I want to work on the web-visualization project. I haven't been able to contribute much lately. Do you think I should join ?

@Autodidact24 you're cordially invited to joint the hangout! The web-based viz might not necessarily be the most central topic this time. If you want to get started meanwhile it's a good idea to start working on one of the issues, ideally the ones marked a easy. Also, for a mutually satisfying GSOC, ideally the problem you chose to work on should be relevant (cognitively, emotionally, ...) to your own personal interests and your domain of research. When reading 'web-based-viz' you still should have the same great feeling after appending 'for M/EEG analysis' ;-)

Points to be discussed:

  • MNE coding sprint in June after HBM
  • the module and the RawBase class ... BaseRaw + io module #1003
  • I'd like to poll / brain storm about cluster permutation stats, smoothing, and sensitivity issues
  • if time allows for we could discuss the fast / flexible h5py io outlined in ENH? to_hdf5 methods / hd5 reader (via pandas) #1107
  • of course: news, GSOC admin, ...
  • STC -> fif files?
  • filtering / smoothing time for STCs
