What does this PR do and why?
I was talking to Stefan in the Infinite Red Slack and linked to my blog post on when to use
cast. He asked if I would add it to the TypeScript docs, so I'm happy to oblige.I took a moment to update some other details in that page as well.
I will merge this into
masterand then re-publish the docs for5.4.1(although I'll need to slightly modify the TS version number back to what it was in that branch).
