Both in Rotational and in Translational a simple model of an eddy current brake would be advantageous for many applications.
It could be simply modeled by Kloss' equation:

tau = 2*tau_nominal/(w/w_nominal + w_nominal/w);

The newly added models contain __Dymola_ annotations that need to be removed.

The double wording "the the" also should be corrected.

The variable name w_rel is not ideal since it is w/w_nominal - whereas other models in rotational library use w_rel as difference in rotational speed between flanges.

and form->from in
"However, the the speed w_nominal at which the maximum torque occurs is adapted form reference temperature TRef to the operational temperature."

Thanks for correcting the typos - resolved by ac9612d.

Regarding w_rel: You're right, but give me a proposal?
German "Bezogene Grösse" is translated as "related values", as far as I know.
How would you express that this is a per unit value related to w_nominal and avoid mixing this up with difference between two flanges? May be w_rel is not the proper choice for the speed difference, but that naming we can't change for backwards compatibility reasons.

Please could a native English speaker give an advice:
Is "per unit" i.e. w_pu an alternative that most users understand?

What about w_normalized ?

Good idea - I'll take that, thanks Hans.
