we should tag alpha.7 in time before voting on the beta.1 release on April 13th

We should allow a little bit of time for people to report possible issues with alpha.6 that has just been tagged.

@t-sommer : you wanted to also change the names of arguments to be more consistent with other arguments (nValues and some plurals). Is that still so? If yes, we should likely also do that ASAP.
