Install Tutorial
- OptiFine is not related to or supported by Fabric.
- Optifabric is not related to or supported by Fabric and/or OptiFine.
- OptiFine+Optifabric may be incompatible with some Fabric mods and cause crashes.
- Using OptiFine and Optifabric is not officially supported by the Fabric Mod Loader.
If your existing Fabric instance already contains a bunch of Fabric mods, it is better to just create a new Fabric instance to install OptiFine, to be sure everything works as intended. Once you have this new instance running, you may copy the files you downloaded to your original instance and verify that everything runs smoothly.

For the rest of the tutorial we will use a MC/Fabric 1.14.4 instance as an example. You may need newer file versions for newer MC versions.

The OptiFine Installer should be placed in the instance ''mods'' folder
There is no need to run the OptiFine Installer you downloaded, or to extract the OptiFine jar mod from the Optifine Installer file.
Optifabric is a mod that can be used to run OptiFine on the Fabric Mod Loader. It does this by taking the official OptiFine mod and making it compatible with the Fabric Mod Loader at runtime.

If you have an older version of the Fabric API in your ''mods'' folder, delete it now.
