Things to document:

  • How to use the model metadata to initialize a DiploidPopulation
  • How to get the names/ids of the demes that exist at the end of a simulation.
  • How to handle "selfing" vis-a-vis standard W-F assumption.
    (One usually will want to disable residual selfing.)

If all demes have end times of 0 and burn-in = 0, the simulation length is 0. That's a "gotcha".
