MMEX version:

  • 1.5.4

https://forum.moneymanagerex.org/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=10451

In the 'Budget Category Summary' Report, I have some lines for an Automobile Category, but I don't have this in the 'Organize Categories' list.

Not only that, but it's not something I added or deleted. I was happy just using the existing Car category.

It doesn't appear if I expand all the categories.

The other thing with this category is that, in the report, it is listed above and below my Bills section.

Is there a way to remove this category?

Looks as if we are attempting to translate the category name on presentation (which is mapping Automobile to Car in your instance). Done in some instances on the report but not all.

Category and subcategory names should only be translated ONCE when the tables are first created. From that point on they should never be translated and the name used is up to the user to edit and manage. Not sure why the code is often translating these during normal operation as this results in user changes to a value which has a translation being overwritten. E.g. Where language is English UK then changing "Car" to "Automobile" would be overridden back to "Car".
