Could look like the joda-money api, but using CurrencyPair:

// convert to GBP using a supplied rate
BigDecimal conversionRate = ...; // obtained from code outside Joda-Money
Money moneyGBP = money.convertTo(CurrencyUnit.GBP, conversionRate);
