Please do what VLC, mpv, Newpipe and Antennapod do and show the current time in the center of the screen with a bigger font so we can clearly see what time we are on when scrubbing the video forward and back.

Something like this.

I agree. This is something in my backlog that I want to try.

Latest release (v0.14) prints time difference when using horizontal gesture to seek. I'm not sure/decided on showing more info.

I think most people would like to see [scrub time] (time difference).

Scrubbing 45 seconds ahead from 1:00:00 would be [1:00:45] (45s)
Scrubbing 90 seconds ahead from 1:00:00 would be [1:01:30 (1m30s)

I think that looks compact and informative.

More importantly it should have a background and whatever is needed to make sure the text can be seen on a white background, black background, etc.

Has this been implemented?

@moneytoo I see a lot of open issues in issue tracker which have been referenced in commits have been implemented (if satisfactorily according to user's feedback) then may be closed.
