    1. I tried the "Generate" menu-"Publish" to generate the exe file. It can be installed on the local computer, the problem is: instead of installing on other (non-networked) computers, the "Missing application" error appears. I tried many methods:

2.I re-added the DLL file and configuration file to the program, but the error still shows, a little different: the new file is still not added to the installer.

3.At that time, there were exe files and manifest files generated by the solution. I copied both files to another computer and then installed it. The error was changed to the following.

instead of installing on other (non-networked) computers, the "Missing application" error appears.

I think I can copy my EXE file to any other computer and it can be installed and used normally.

Just copy the folder E:\XXXX\bin\Release. ??[ ] Windows

thank you!

Sorry this is the wrong repository for the issue, you should probably open a Visual Studio issue instead.
