At the moment we still rely on usseraccounts. This dependency is detrimental as the package is no longer maintained. It also prevents us from customizing our UI in a way that allows us to be GDPR compliant.

We need to run our own system.

There must be other still maintained user account packages, right?
Also: we are using simple:rest for exposing a REST API for some sub-projects right now that depends on the accounts-password package for auth cookies ... it would be nice to keep that around as a foundation.

This is not about the user management the package is only for front end and rendering. The server side components would not be changed only client side components. Does that answer your question?
