Hello, and thanks for the great color scheme!

I haven't tried light mode yet, but in dark mode, comments are highlighted as if in light mode. And generally, the colors aren't as vibrant as the screenshot in the README. And some of the syntax highlighting is off. For instance, method names are not highlighted.

Have you tried restarting MacVim?
And check twice that you are not trying to setup two color schemes at one time at your vimrc.
I'm pretty sure that's the problem with colors updating, not the real gruvbox problem.

From what I can see you are using the Terminal. The colors should display correctly in MacVim.

Oh, apologies for the late response! You're right, I was using Terminal
vim. The colors look awesome in MacVim. Thank you!

Oh, my fault! I didn't mentioned you're using Terminal. I haven't fully adopted gruvbox terminal colors yet, but till now you could try using CsApprox or something like that.
If you wouldn't mind I'll close this one and keep the term-colors adoption conversation at #4

Just to mention that I tried the CSApprox but unfortunately it didn't do the trick...

That's too bad! But thanks for trying it out!
