Kernel is too old. I've seen several messages from users trying the Kali for RasPi. You might try asking on a Kali forum when an updated version of Kali for the RasPi is expected or... you could burn the current 64 bit RasPiOS (2023-05-03) and the adapter will be plug and play. I use the RasPiOS on my Pi4B and I think you can install most of the stuff Kali includes on the RasPi.

As is explained in Main Menu item 2, Plug and Play List, the minimum kernel for this adapter is 5.18. It seems that Kali for the RasPi is dated at this point so asking the makers of the distros why it is so dated is probably …
