Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Firefox Nightly, and verify if the "Show voice search" is enabled in Settings - Search.
  2. Open a new tab and try to search via voice search.

Expected behavior

The microphone icon is displayed in the navigation bar. The search through voice search is done without issues.

Actual behavior

The microphone icon is NOT displayed in the navigation bar.
Adding the Firefox Nightly widget displays the microphone and the search is done without issues.

Device information

  • Android device: Google Pixel (Android 10), OnePlus 6T (Android 9), and Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 (Android 10)
  • Fenix version: 12/7 Firefox Nightly, Beta 84.0.0-beta.3
  • Not reproducible on RC 83.1.0,

Verified as fixed on both 12/10 Nightly build, and on Beta 84.0.0-beta.4 with OnePlus 6T (Android 9), Sony Xperia Z5 Premium (Android 7.1.1), and Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 (Android 10).
