Sharing opened pdf will share empty pdf

Steps to reproduce

Open a pdf without downloading it. Pressing the share button in the menu on the bottom right will open the IOS/iPad OS share menu. At the top, a pdf will be shown which is only a few KB in size, independent of the size of the opened pdf.
Sharing the pdf will result in an empty pdf file.

Expected behavior

The opened pdf should be sharable as a whole.

Actual behavior

An empty pdf is shared.

Same issue here. Only getting a 164B empty pdf when trying to use share to send to other apps / save to files. Super annoying as there seems to be no workaround to download pdf.

Some websites allow you to download the pdf when doing a long press on the link to the file. After downloading it, you can export it. Works only when the download is available.

Same issue there. In addition to the reported behavior, any document (incl PDF) opened into a tab result in a URL named « blob: ». Rhodes pages cannot be shared nor saved at all.

It constraints me to open links in Safari each time I want to download a file to my phone. That’s painful and extremely frustrating.

I just mentioned multiple issues also related to download.

I think this issue appears when websites trigger the pdf viewer without using an URL that ends in « .pdf ».
Very frustrating indeed, makes the browser almost unusable for me.
