WinXP/IE8 - Fails to get sign_in screen in Stage

I open beta.myfavoritebeer.org and click Sign In.
What I get is a text mode (text-based html) version of the following error:

•BrowserID Home
Communicating with server
Just a moment while we talk with the server.

BrowserID is the fast and secure way to sign in — learn more

I do not see this with Dev or Prod, or with Opera, Chrome, and FF on WinXP.

I did not see this on Win7-32bit with IE8, nor on Win7 with IE9.
This seems to be isolated to WinXP + IE8.
I will try to duplicate this again back in the office on the Win laptop.
