Yes to switching to python3. I'm a bit concerned about not using a vanilla debian image and apt-get installing it. The python docker image fetches python tarballs from python.org and custom builds it which makes me uncomfortable. I won't block on this (especially since its an easy change to switch back to vanilla debian) but I'm curious if you tried apt-get installing python3 and it didn't work for you. |
