When opening some LaTeX files (example) in today's pdf.js viewer and zooming out (Ctrl + down-scroll with mousewheel), then many mathematical operators are stretched. A screenshot follows.

pdf js_zoom_bug

The Javascript console reports:

"PDF b4706c8cd97bde324997b7ca4a29e2c [1.4 itext-paulo-155 (itextpdf.sf.net-lowagie.com) / pdftk 1.44 - www.pdftk.com] (PDF.js: 1.0.159)" viewer.js:3426

I am using (64-bit) Firefox 29.0 on Gentoo Linux.

I cannot reproduce, using: Windows 7 (64-bit), Firefox Nightly 32 (buildID: 20140507030202) with HWA on, and PDF.js 1.0.159.

I'm assuming that this is a Linux only issue; it looks similar to e.g. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=789074.

Also #2594 is likely to be related.
