Hi Michael, I think that the StackOverflow solution you mentioned is too much of a Hack. This might be sufficient, the warning is quite big :-) It's up to you, Jakub

I'll go with your solution for the current version. In gremlin-scala 3 I'll probably make a harder cut and go for the compile-time error as discussed in gremlin-users.
