How do I make the compiled ffmpeg available system wide?

mpv-build is specifically made for "installing" ffmpeg in a local directory (under build_libs). The build scripts enforce this, and trying to use mpv-build for this purpose doesn't make much sense, because it would require you to do more work than it saves.

If you want to install ffmpeg system-wide, it's better to compile ffmpeg manually. I'm sure ffmpeg has instructions somewhere...
