Some channels get lost with output to jack #5148
Comments
Did you try |
Need to see log. Not sure how Jack works exactly, but I imagine it's accepting all 6 channels but you don't have it set up to mix that down, in which case @zc62's solution should work. |
Same here with 0.27.2 and $ mpv foo.mkv
[...]
(+) Audio --aid=1 --alang=fre (*) (ac3 6ch 48000Hz)
[...]
AO: [pulse] 48000Hz 5.1(side) 6ch float
$ mpv foo.mkv --audio-channels=stereo
[...]
(+) Audio --aid=1 --alang=fre (*) (ac3 6ch 48000Hz)
[...]
AO: [pulse] 48000Hz stereo 2ch float It seems like I have voices in both L and R but sound effects only in R. |
Jack has absolutely nothing to do with pulse. |
This seemed related to the issue as I have maybe the same symptoms with another audio output plugin. I'll open another issue if instructed to do so. |
stale issue. |
When I play a movie where the audio is described as
dts 6ch 48000Hz
to jack (-ao jack
), some sound doesn't play. Some channels get lost?
