Ubuntu and alike

Install dependencies using your package manager of choice, for example in Ubuntu:

sudo apt-get install mplayer imagemagick libmagickwand-dev

You also need make, ruby and ruby-dev

sudo apt-get install make ruby ruby-dev

And for ffmpeg on Linux Mint 17:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mc3man/trusty-media
apt-get update
apt-get install ffmpeg

for Ubuntu 15.10:

sudo apt-get install ruby-http-parser.rb ruby-bcrypt ruby-oj

Then install the lolcommits gem:

sudo gem install lolcommits

Fedora

Basic installation:

sudo dnf install ruby-devel rubygems redhat-rpm-config gcc-c++
sudo gem install lolcommits

For mplayer, enable the rpmfusion repository and run:

sudo yum install ImageMagick ImageMagick-devel mplayer

Enable lolcommits

Then you can lolcommits --enable in any git repo as above.

You can’t perform that action at this time.
