• The dogmcoin-wallet-3.1.2 is based on dogecoin-wallet-3.1.2 (code based on bitcoin-wallet-5.42).
• So you can refer to dogecoin3.1.2 and bitcoin5.42.
• The checkpoint file is from dogecoin 4.0.0, so for the first sync you need to start in February 2021.

Java library for adding altcoin support to bitcoinj
I don't know yet how to get a checkpoint for dogecoin and dogmcoin, I didn't find a tool in the java library.
