<h1>Chinese Community</h1>
<p>
Welcome to join the tencent QQ group:<a target="_blank" title="ElasticSearch QQ交流群" href="http://qun.qq.com/#jointhegroup/gid/190605846">190605846</a> for realtime discussion, and also recommend to visit the <a title="ElasticSearch讨论板" href="http://es-bbs.medcl.net/">forum</a> for help.
</p>
<h1 id="irc">IRC</h1>
<p>
Sometimes it's just easier to get help or discuss matters in real time. The <a href="irc://irc.freenode.net/elasticsearch">#elasticsearch</a> channel on <em>irc.freenode.net</em> allows for just that (<a href="http://webchat.freenode.net/">webchat.freenode</a>). Note: IRC discussions tend to exclude large parts of the community. Therefore elasticsearch core technical discussions and decisions must take place on the mailing lists, not IRC. They don't count otherwise.

<h1>Site</h1>
<p>
This site itself is <a href="http://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch.github.com">hosted at GitHub</a> as well. One great way to help around with <strong>elasticsearch</strong> is by <a href="contributing-site.html">contributing</a> to it.
</p>
<h1>GitHub</h1>
<p>
<strong>elasticsearch</strong> is Open Source under the <a href="http://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0.html">Apache 2 License</a>. The code is hosted at <a href="http://github.com/elasticsearch">GitHub</a> and is just a fork away.
</p>
<h1>Issues</h1>
<p>
Issues and feature requests can be filed at <a href="http://github.com/elasticsearch/elasticsearch/issues">GitHub Issues</a> (if you are not sure, please post a question at the mailing list first).
</p>
