Also vanilla JS is an option too, this app is not complex enough for adding react/vue or anything else on top (not even jquery maybe) http://youmightnotneedjquery.com/

I think React is a good choice for v2, although I agree with @alejandronanez that the application is not that complex and hence vanilla is always a great option. In both ways, I am happy to contribute.
