The image scales to fit the icon's size. Do you see the problem with other avatars too?

I used your github profile image as my avatar too but it seems to be working.

when joining a new room that you weren't part of when you started the application.

• Having to press login each time you open the application
• Application gets unresponsive for a few seconds after pressing "Login" (or "&LOGIN" on KDE :P) with a bunch of QXcbConnection: XCB error: 8 (BadMatch), sequence: 3451, resource id: 115343417, major code: 130 (Unknown), minor code: 3 messages in the console. (probably because it's unresponsive during that time)
• Chats with people (and not rooms) get marked as "Unknown Room Name"
• gifs display as pictures but aren't animated, neither in fullscreen view nor in the normal view
• No popup notifications yet
• Read messages aren't marked as "read" (is this a Matrix or Riot feature, if the latter, then just ignore this^^)

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I will take a look on the profile pic issue. Does it happen only on your avatar or with others too?

1. The Ignoring event .. warnings you get are normal, because nheko doesn't handle newly created rooms yet.
2. The press login every time issue it's annoying, I agree. This would be an easy fix.
3. There is supposed to be a loading spinner instead. Honestly I am suprised that KDE causes so many problems.
4. There isn't proper room name resolution on 1-on-1 chats yet.

6. We probably need an issue for this but it must be configurable.

Of course any contribution is very much welcome!

Btw if you need openSUSE/Fedora packaging, just tell me and I'll create packages (that can be built & hosted with OBS (openSUSE build service) for example). Also Debian/Ubuntu packages are possible if really needed but I don't really like their obscure packaging system...

@z3ntu That would be awesome. I wanted to use snaps for ubuntu and linux in general but haven't really looked into it yet. Since we are offtopic here, you can join the nheko room on matrix to continue the discussion.

Profile pic is fixed and Direct Chats are working. I like the progress I am seeing with this project! Keep up the good work 😄
