Hillsborough Inquest Transcripts

The new Hillsborough inquest is due to get properly underway on 31 March 2014. (This has just been confirmed by the Home Secretary in a statement to the House of Commons)

The transcripts are being put online at:

http://hillsboroughinquests.independent.gov.uk/hearings/

(There have already been preliminary hearings)

The PDFs appear to be in the same format as Leveson

This email is to submit the suggestion that these transcripts might be something to consider putting on SayIt; perhaps in a timely manner shortly after they are published.

I would expect significant public and media interest in the inquest and making the transcripts more easily accessible could make it easier for the public (including journalists) to follow proceedings.

If you are looking for an example of a first release of transcripts to import live as they are produced this might be a good set to consider.

Evidence (documents, photos etc.) is also being published. It would be awesome if it was easier to get to from a transcript to a piece of evidence.
