If you could take note of the sentences or where they are used it would help us fix the mistakes. Thanks! |

I'd be only too happy to do that, but you may have noticed that I used the word 'attempting' in my post; that, I'm afraid, reflects my opinion that the tutorial(s) for this game are... well, abysmal and have prevented making any progress beyond the first 'combat'. Speaking as an ex-technical writer, I have a strong feeling that both introductions were created by someone very close to the game's development, which is, except in very rare cases, a recipe for disaster: things that are regarded as so obvious (to him/her) and therefore not mentioned are the very bits that beginners (like me) absoluntely need to know to make any progress.
At the moment, in my opinion the greatest impediment to this very promising game's success is the lack of a proper tutorial: people begin to play, become frustrated and just give up. If you take my advice, for what it's worth, you'll get hold of a competent writer who knows nothing about the project and give him/her the job - they'll propably be able to sort out those errant apostrophes at the same time!
Oh, in case you think that I could do the job... well, I could, if I was a few years younger! I'm in my eighties now and not as sharp as I once was (about ten typos per line on average!), so I'm afraid I'll rule myself out, with regret.
Another 'oh...' the name 'Tarquin Montmorency' was the fanciest I could dream up when I opened the email account nearly forty years ago. You could try 'Ted Edwards', or just 'Ted'.
Regards and best wishes with the project; it has great promise.
Ted

I have noted several instances, in attempting to run Naev, that there are a number of instances of the dreaded 'it's' being used incorrectly. For those who don't appear to know, the apostrophe form 'it's' is used ONLY when the abreviation is for 'it is' (or, rarely, 'it has'). There is NO OTHER instance in which 'it's' should be used - it is INCORRECT on both sides of the Atlantic (and anywhere else this much-abused language is used...)
