Two parts to this:

  • A list of what can spawn right now (e.g., at evolution 34%: Can spawn: Small biter, Small spitter, Medium biter), and;
  • The next spawn threshold (e.g., at 50%, Medium spitter will spawn)

Both should be optional and controlled by sensor settings, as in #13. Notably, this would be done as a separate sensor from the regular evolution factor one.

Looks like it's not currently possible to query the spawner data from control.lua, feature request has been created: http://www.factorioforums.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=16008.

For now, we'll stick to a static list and support only vanilla and bobenemies (because I won't be downloading things just to get spawn lists from them).

I'd also suggest, if possible, to have the sensor (or a temporary message - like in the campaign ) flash when ever the level changes.

Just want to check before I start on this, is the functionality/format in the original issue post a good description of how to present the info?

It's a reasonable initial idea, but if it turns out to look better another
way, follow your vision.
