Segmentation Fault error while running as a superuser (previously on google group discussion)

Here's my github repo. I have checked on pingOut port and it's still connected to prmdb component. However, I realized I accidentally commented out the prmDb init in topology.cpp. This only solves one of the errors. all this remain now is

Note that I redacted the GDS IP address. Interestingly enough, it seem like it can connect to the GDS briefly.

I realized that I didn't have schedin port connected so I put it in so I can have my component run as a part of rate group 1. The error shows is similar but shows an interesting message.

I could be wrong but I don't think prmdb is an issue here. I tried commenting out anything related to prmdb in topology but it just solves the parameter fail to read error. I'm wondering if anyone know where I can find the meaning behind fatal 341 or "Failed to open port with status -4 and errno 111".

My repo is updated with the changes I made so far. FYI, I can cross compile Ref on the same machine to raspberry pi and run them without any problem so I don't think it's about port 50000.

Error message "[WARNING] Failed to open port with status -4 and errno 111" disappeared after I add instance value on HWStatus.init in topology.cpp and it shows the message that I briefly connect to the GDS again but the rest of the error still remains.

EDIT: that error message disappears because the correct GDS IP is used

The assert in F-Prime/Svc/Cycle/CyclePortAc.cpp is occurring because the cycle port is not hooked up to anything. Are you using Drv/BlockDriver and is that component's cycleOut port hooked to RateGroupDriver?

I have cycleout hooked to rategroupdriver. Turned out I removed the declaration part of blockdriver by accident probably because I was copying the top files from Ref and BlockDriver is right next to the SG5. Another lesson I learned today on F'. Everything's working now! Thank you for everything. I owe you a big one.

Out of curiosity, How did you know right away that the problem is from blockdriver? Is it because it's one of the only components that use cycle out port?

Also in case anyone was wondering about "Failed to open port with status -4 and errno 111", make sure you have a correct IP address for your gds.

I knew it was BlockDriver because I did exactly that last week, I deleted BlockDriver and got a similar assert....so I figured the issue would be in the same area. In fact, I was trying to remove SG5 from an application myself.
