Summary

For overlay plots with multiple endpoints, the y-axis label is missing even though the endpoints share the same label (value type). Plot views and Overlay plots with single endpoints will display label correctly.

Expected vs Current Behavior

If the endpoints have the same ranges, they should be able to be labeled properly

Regression

Observed working in vista r4.5 and r4.5.1

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create an overlay plot
  2. Drag and drop one telemetry endpoint into the overlay plot
  3. Observe that y-axis has a label (or dropdown)
  4. Drag and drop a second telemetry endpoint into the overlay plot that shares the same columns/ranges/values
  5. Observe that y-axis label disappears although it should still be present if endpoint ranges are the same

Environment

  • Open MCT Version: #vista-r4.9.0-rc19
  • OMM Version: 4.9
  • Deployment Type: OMM (VISTA)
  • OS:
  • Browser: Chrome

Impact Check List

  • Data loss or misrepresented data?
  • Regression? Did this used to work or has it always been broken?
  • Is there a workaround available?
  • Does this impact a critical component?
  • Is this just a visual bug with no functional impact?
