Summary

When using a narrow time window in real-time mode with slow VIPER dictionary data, I'm seeing unexpected behavior:
If the imagery is coming in every 2-5 minutes and I use a time window of -2 min to 0:15 seconds,

  1. Images sometimes appear after 1 minute of "freshness"
  2. POS indicators can appear without imagery

Impact Check List

  • Data loss or misrepresented data?
  • Regression? Did this used to work or has it always been broken?
  • Is there a workaround available?
  • Does this impact a critical component?
  • Is this just a visual bug with no functional impact?
  • Does this block the execution of e2e tests?
  • Does this have an impact on Performance?
