@xawpaw, thanks for your PR. I am holding off on merging any third-party contributions for now because there is a laborious amount of paperwork that it takes to do so for packages like this that are governed by the NASA Open Source Agreement. I am working with my supervisors to try to change the license to a mainstream one.
