For three months, new Recipes were being added to Cookbook daily, with violent shifts in the organization of Cookbook's API. Version 1 brought documentation improvements and a solidification of the 3-branch source tree. For Version 2, Cookbook has entered a period of free. Version 2 is a look at the lasting structure of the Cookbook library.

Some changes from Version 1:

  • More modules
  • Haddock documentation through-and-through
  • Bug fixes

Tonight, some radical changes took place that rocketed Cookbook from 1.6 into the 2.0.0.0 release:

  • Fork of Cookbook-lisp to its own repository.
  • Creation of Cookbook-app
  • Removal of Cookbook-c
  • Creation of Galileo-st1, which will be merged into Cookbook-D after that repo is frozen.

Version 2 is a promise that the API structure will not be broken for a major version, so it is the best time to incorporate Cookbook into your projects.
