མིང་ཚིག་བཟོ་སྒྲིག་གཉེན་ཆས། (lit: Dictionary App)

A mobile app built with React-Native for the collection of Tibetan terms. Uses tibetan-sort-js from BDRC to solve the problem of Tibetan alphabetical sort, which is not correctly implemented in most operating systems.

Built at the request of His Holiness the Drikung Kyabgön with collaborators for design and Tibetan translation. Designed for tablet devices.

Installation

After pulling the repository, run yarn install to install the dependencies. Add google-services.json and GoogleService-Info.plist to the main directory for Firebase integration.

Run npx expo prebuild --platform ios --clean to build the IOS app. Run npx expo ios:run to run the IOS app. (make sure that the latest IOS is installed with Xcode)

Creating a build

Run eas build --profile development --platform ios to create a build for IOS.
