What is the correct way in the new jetstream interface to find a stream from a subject?

Is it really the intention that i must iterate over all streams to find the stream capturing a specific subject?

If not, how should i read the doc to find the proper way to do it?

No, it's not the intention.

Usually, you know precisely which streams are responsible for what subjects, especially since there can't be an overlap.

There is a method in the old API StreamNameBySubject that was used internally in Subscribe to find the Stream. I think we should expose it in the new JetStream Context too.

I agree. And while I do know what stream captures what, I don't want to assume it. It's a trap waiting to snap if streams where reorganized in the future.

@tpihl As @Jarema mentioned, the old API has StreamNameBySubject() for that, and I'll be adding this function to the new API in the next release - I explained that in more detail in response to your comment to the PR: #1018 (comment)
