Latest script gratefully installed - but get asked for PIN #14
Comments
The pin is emailed to you from Blink when a login is initiated. It's the same email address you used when registering an account with Blink. Please check your spam/junk folder too. |
Thanks Ryan, really appreciate the fast reply. I had not logged off (from either my iPhone or iPad) since logging on months ago! But that thought occured to me earlier so I signed out, signed in again, received an SM with code, entered that code to get into my Blink app, closed PS and re-ran your script, entered the code - and it failed again. But some 10 minutes later I checked my messages again - and to my relief that code DID work! Can you clarify how I should proceed in future please? I don't want to repeatedly sign out and in again and check my iphone for messages. (I mainly use the iPad.) What happens if I leave the script running, with your new 'keep alive' facility? To download again in a day or so presumably I will have to close it, but then what pin code should be used? As you'll have gathered, this stuff is all something of a black art to me! |
thank you SO MUCH - this is working fine - i've got the sms code and enter this. download is starting immediately AWASOME! THX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Yep, although this works great for a while, it seems to go wonky if you let it sit and run. I can't figure out what the common thread is when it stops working though. :( |
Thank you so much for all the setup. It has worked perfectly until just recently i'm not getting sent a PIN anymore. The script prompts me but i'm not getting an email or a text with the PIN code. |
Have you tried changing your password or phone number? Also, if there's anyone who can devote the time to making the script work without it eventually breaking down, maybe we can crowd fun the effort? I'm willing to chip in! |
Fixed in latest code. |
@nayrk I've been using the latest code and if I let it sit overnight at some point things go crazy and I get a load of red text on the screen. (presumably that is what @jeff-zacuto mentioned?) Is there any way to keep it awake without it going wonky? Or alternatively have the ability to run on schedule (e.g. overnight) without having to enter the pin every time? |
Yep, only just after posting the above I get the same @nayrk any ideas what might be causing this? |
Looks like it ran fine for 24 hrs, then started with the red text ....

Created a new issue since this is closed and a few of us having the error: #17 |
Very pleased that the script has been revised, thank you.
But on running it I was asked for a PIN. What PIN is meant? I'm guessing some verification pin, but I have not received one.
Terry
