.gitignore not created

Creating a new system creates a repo but doesn't create a .gitignore - have to manually create it excluding workspace and builds dirs.

Thanks for reporting. I experienced this for a long time but I was not able to track it down.

Sorry about this, it has been kind of a red herring for lots of time. I think I nailed it, the .gitignore file is present in our source tree, but it is automatically converted by NPM in the published tree to '.npmignore'.

This will be fixed in 0.11.0.
